New clinic opened in Salford

New piles treatment clinic opened in Salford

We are pleased to announce the launch of our newest haemorrhoid treatment clinic at the Oaklands Hospital, in Salford.

The clinic opened in June 2021 with our newest recruit Nasir Iqbal, a GMC-registered colorectal surgeon.

Mr Iqbal cannot wait to get started with the treatment. He enjoys teaching and surgical training and has a strong interest in research and academic surgery, making him the perfect fit for the eXroid team.

The launch of this clinic is incredibly important, as for many piles sufferers, haemorrhoids can be a debilitating disease and impacts nearly 5 million people in the UK each year. Not many sufferers are aware that there is a treatment for piles that does not involve surgery

This will be our second clinic in the Manchester region to carry out our electrotherapy procedure. We are excited to partner with Ramsay Health Care UK to expand our services in the north-west of England, catering to the increasing demand for the eXroid treatment.

Many choose the eXroid procedure, as a result of its non-surgical nature, which means no time off work is required, which is a barrier for many potential patients.

Those who do not qualify for the treatment on the NHS, but are still in great discomfort and those who face a long waiting list due to the backlog of elective surgeries, can access treatment with eXroid. eXroid wants to help relieve the NHS burden and get as many sufferers treated, so they can be free from piles to enjoy the benefits of the lock-down measures easing.

We pride ourselves on our patient pathway, easing haemorrhoid sufferers’ access to treatment so we are continually working on increasing the number of clinics across the UK. Click here to find your nearest clinic.
